Description
Ribs of pale basswood curve into a gourd shape 410 mm across. In daylight it is a quiet silhouette over the table; at night the ribs project a fan of soft stripes onto the ceiling. It is the piece most people buy first.

Materials & care
Plywood · basswood. Pale basswood ply, laser-cut into slats and ribs, then assembled by hand.
Dust with a dry, soft cloth. Keep away from direct steam and standing water. Wood is a natural material: grain, tone and small marks vary from piece to piece and from the images.
